Our library is named in enduring memory of Dr Ruby Walker, deaconess, friend, mentor and encourager to all age groups here at Grace and to the larger community. We aspire to be such faithful servants!

Through life-long learning, we hope to encourage all to grow in their faith journey and commitment to Christ, to find their special gifts and to serve others.

The library lends Christian fiction and non-fiction books, videos, CD-ROM’s and music CD’s to all age groups. The library also has non-circulating resources such as the Bible on audio, concordances and magazines.

We are located in the main floor Family Room, beside the Lounge, easily accessible by wheel chair.

Visit the library before and after Sunday worship service and any time the church is open through the week, provided the Family Room is not booked by a group. It is advisable to always check with the church office first for accessibility.

All members and adherents of Grace are welcome to borrow resources to take home. Others are welcome to use the resources in the library. There is comfortable seating in a well lit corner of the Family Room for quiet reading.

What’s New in the Library?

Book Donations

The Library Committee is backlogged with processing book donations and because of our limited space we are unable to accept book donations for the time being. Thank you to all who have donated books to the library.

Some Missing Books!

One of our members is generously donating each volume of the Christian History Project’s acclaimed “The Christians: Their First Two Thousand Years” as they become available. This is a wonderful addition to the library and a useful tool for Christian Education! Some of the volumes were borrowed before they were catalogued and processed, and we have no record of where these are. If you have one of these books in your possession, would you kindly return it to the blue recycling box on the circulation desk in the Family Room? We will be sure to process these and put them out for circulation as quickly as possible. Thanks for your help in this matter.

Bring them Back, No Questions Asked!

Are there church library books lurking on your home bookshelf? Have they been there so long that you are almost embarrassed to bring them back? Please bring them back, even if they are weeks, months or years overdue! this will greatly help our review of the library collection’s strengths and weaknesses over the next year. Thank You The Library Committee.
