The Christian Wedding

Weddings at Grace Church are an important witness to God’s love for people and for the family of God’s creation, and as such are understood to consist of far more than merely the ceremony on an appointed day.

We believe that God invites all people considering marriage to be engaged in faithful and prayerful preparation so that they may best honour each other in God’s gift of the marriage covenant.

Therefore, we encourage and expect those wishing to be married at Grace Church to be willing to meet with our ministers on a regular basis, as a couple and in group sessions, to explore the journey leading up, not only to their wedding date, but also far beyond.

We strongly discourage anyone from looking at Grace Church merely as a venue for a wedding ceremony, but welcome all who seek to honour God and one another through this wonderful gift.

Grace Presbyterian Church is centrally located in the downtown area at 1009 15 Avenue SW.
The seating capacity in our Sanctuary is 900 people (please note there is no centre aisle). Our Chapel seats up to 75 guests, including the wedding party. Two parking lots are available which will hold approximately 90 cars.

All weddings at Grace Presbyterian church MUST be conducted by one of the ministers of Grace. Presbyterian ministers from other churches may seek permission to perform weddings at Grace. Music must be arranged through our music director. Please note we do have a pipe organ in the Sanctuary. The use of our organist is included as part of the wedding fees. We are unable to accomodate Sunday weddings.

Once you fill out your application and have a confirmation for your ceremony from the minister, your date will be entered onto our calendar. We cannot reserve or hold a date during the initial enquiry process.
